The Youth Center is located directly across from Scott Elementary School in Patriots Landing housing. This 26,300 square foot facility has a broad range of programs for youth 5 to 18 years of age. For general members we offer a computer lab, gymnasium, rock climbing wall, game room, snack bar and “The Neighborhood”, a multi-purpose room that provides youth with the opportunity to engage in arts & craft activities, board games, leisurely reading, science adventure and much more. Youth Programs offer activities in the five core program areas: character & leadership development; the arts; youth sports, fitness, and recreation; health & life skills; and education & career development. “Power Hour”, a homework help and tutoring program, is offered during the school year Monday through Friday. Special clubs such as Torch Club, 4-H, and Keystone Club name a few of the opportunities that youth can become involved.
The Youth Center provides a year-round School Age Program which features a Before and After School Program during the school year and Summer Fun Program during summer break. Program hours are 0630 - 1800 Monday through Friday. Children in kindergarten, age 5 through 6th grade, 12 years of age are eligible for these programs and may attend for up to 10 hours per day. Each program is unique and provides different experiences for the participants.
The Before and After Program is offered in conjunction with the Mascoutah Public School calendar. USDA approved breakfast, lunch (when out of school) and snack are served daily. Some of the activities your child can look forward to include arts & crafts, bowling, cooking, sports & games, field trips, computers and special guest speakers.
The Youth Center Sports Program offers a wide range of team and individual sports for youth ages 5-18. All of our sports are recreational style and geared more toward skill development. All of our volunteer coaches are required to complete the NYSCA coaches’ certification course and have a completed background check before we will issue them a team. Youth Sports program includes leagues in Baseball, Softball, T-Ball, Soccer, Gym Hockey, and Basketball.
The teens on Scott AFB also have many extra-curricular programs to choose from such as Keystone Club, Teen Council, and much more. Stop by the Youth Center today and check it out!

Youth Spring Soccer League
The Youth Center is hosting a Spring Co-ed Soccer League for kids ages 5 to 13. The cost is $65 which includes a jersey. Registration is now taking place at the Youth Center Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or by appointment through March 31. Volunteer coaches are also needed. The season runs from April 5 through May 22. A sports physical and flu shot is required and all COVID-19 protocols will be observed.

Air Force Teen Virtual Aviation Camp
Registration is now open for the 2021 Air Force Teen Virtual Aviation Camp. The Aviation Camp will be held June 14-25 and will offer an introduction to the field of aviation and opportunities for careers and leadership roles within the Air Force. A combination of web-based presentations and discussion groups, along with self-paced course materials provide camp participants with the knowledge to complete the Private Pilot Exam and begin their journey toward earning a Private Pilot License. Applications are due by April 14, 2021 with selections being announced no later than April 23, 2021.
All completed applications must be submitted by a parent/guardian through AF Camps workflow box.

2021 School Age Summer Camp Registration
The School Age (SA) Summer Camp at the Youth Center is a fun option for youth during the summer months. This camp offers full day care with extracurricular activities for children going into 1st grade thru age 12.
Registration for the public begins March 15 - open until full. Parents must register for child care online at MilitaryChildCare.com. The program will contact you to complete your registration once your weeks have been confirmed, which takes place at the Youth Center. Registration is based on priority levels; the priority structure for military family types is outlined in the Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI 6060.02).
Parents can register for the weeks in which they need care. Parents are not required to register for every week. All reservations are binding, and payment will be required. All children must have completed Kindergarten or above before enrolling in Summer Camp.
