Sherman Cove Marina has everything you need for fun in the sun. Traveling by land: Sherman Cove Marina is located in the Southwest corner onboard the Naval Air Station Pensacola just one mile inside the back gate entrance.
Traveling by water: Sherman Cove Marina is located in the Northeast corner of Big Lagoon (reference chart #11378) and monitors VHF channel 16. The marina channel is maintained at 5'-6' of depth and is well marked from #1 - #10 with channel markers.
Sherman Cove Marina offers safe dockage to include floating wet slips and secured outdoor dry storage spaces for guests who wish to store their vessels at the Marina. Also available, is a variety of boat rentals, frozen bait, gas, diesel fuel, ice, snacks, sodas and more! For those in need, two launch ramps, as well as and four rinse-down bays are available for patron use.
Fuel dock is open 7 days a week and closes at 5:30 p.m.

*Boater Safety Card Information - Effective April 2016, Sherman Cover Marina (SCM) requires all patrons renting vessels to complete the facility practical exam.
New Boater Safety Card Information - The SCM test is closed-book; you do not need to print off the Safety Manual if you do not wish to.
**PLEASE NOTE** If you were born in 1988 or after, you are REQUIRED to have a State issued/Coast Guard approved Boater Safety Course.

After you have completed a state-approved boater safety course, you are required to take our course to ensure you fully understand the vessels located at SCM.
Course Fee - $20 *Course fee includes a written and practical exam.
Written Exam - Thursday through Monday from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. *Written exam must be taken at Sherman Cove Marina.
Practical Exam - Every Saturday from 9-11 a.m. *Reservations are required, and can be made over the phone or in-person at Sherman Cove Marina; all practical exams scheduled are weather pending.
The written must be taken prior to the practical. Please call 850.452.2212 if you have any questions. Practical Exam is done by reservation only by phone or in person at Marina.
Stage One Rentals Requires Boater Safety Card
17’ Whaler (3 Crew/ 785 lbs) $15/hr - $50/half day - $90/day
22’ Non-Fishing Pontoon (10 Crew/ 1,450 lbs) $30/hr - $100/half day - $175/day
22’ Fishing Pontoon (10 Crew/ 1,450 lbs) $30/hr - $75/half day - $150/day
Stage Two Rentals: Requires Boater Safety Card AND 10 hours logged on Sherman Cove Marina Pontoon or Whaler.
17’ Cape Horn (4 Crew/ 1,200 lbs) $30/hr - $115/half day - $190/day
21’ Edgewater (6 Crew/ 1,485 lbs) $35/hr - $125/half day - $200/day
*All rentals are due in one hour prior to closing. *All rental prices include USCG required safety gear and all life jackets (adult through infant). *Rental prices do not include fuel. Fuel will be charged upon return. *Reservations are recommended and can be made one month in advance (no deposit required). *Notice - every vessel is only allotted for a certain amount of “Live” weight… this includes bodies, coolers, fishing gear, grills, and/or other personal belongings. Although your rental may allow a max crew, you need to make sure you are under the weight limit. This regulation is not only for the integrity of the vessel but also for your safety.
