Welcome to Fort Campbell Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program. Moving is a part of life for Soldiers and their Families. The Relocation Readiness Program offers a comprehensive support system to help you and your Family make permanent change of station (PCS) moves as smoothly as possible. The mission of the Relocation Readiness Program is to minimize the stress of relocation by offering information, skills and resources to Soldiers and Families that will simplify the moving process throughout their military career. Inbound Services

Automated Welcome Packet – “Plan My Move”

“Plan My Move” is an automated information system designed to provide relocation information on all military installations. Specific information contained in “Plan My Move” are: education, employment, housing, relocation services, support services, medical and dental. Welcome Center

ACS Welcome Center is located at 1501 William C. Lee Road (Gate 1). Hours of Operation, Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Fort Campbell maps, local area maps and directories are available free of charge. Local off post information and MWR activities are available to all military and Families living on and off post. We encourage newcomers to use the Welcome Center to customize their own welcome packet(s).

Soldier and Family Newcomers’ Orientation

The “Soldier & Family Newcomers’ Orientation” is an interactive Family Orientation to welcome and inform newly arrived Soldiers and Family Members of resources available at Fort Campbell. The Soldier and Family Newcomers’ Orientation is a one stop shop for Newcomers information in one location so Newcomers don’t have to drive all over the post looking for information. The Newcomers Orientation is held every Thursday at Cole Park Commons from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The Orientation is mandatory for all Soldiers arriving to Fort Campbell and Family Members are strongly encouraged to attend. Representatives from several agencies are present to provide important information for “Newcomers.” Agencies present include Army Community Service (ACS), Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Chaplains, Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS), American Red Cross, Family Housing On/Off Post,  Education Center, School Liaison Officers, Child & Youth Services, and Medical and Dental. Lunch is included. To reserve childcare, contact Parent Central Services at +1 (270)798-0674, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. or email them by visiting their webpage.  Hourly fee for childcare is the responsibility of the Family.

Information included in the Welcome Packet are Check-in Procedures, a telephone directory, housing information, Child & Youth Services (CYS) information, employment services, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) information, and Medical/Tricare information.

Lending Closet

The Lending Closet loans a wide variety of household items to all incoming personnel for up to 30 days. Basic items available to loan include dishes, pots and pans, sleeping mats, folding tables, folding chairs, irons, toasters, coffee pots, crock pots, baby items, vacuum cleaners, cooking utensils and baking pans.  Major appliances, microwaves, linens and furniture are not provided.  A copy of PCS orders and ID card is required to borrow items from the lending closet. Upon request, items may be extended for additional 30 days. Contact the Relocation Readiness Program at +1 (270)798-6313 for information.  Hours of Operation: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Thursday and Friday.  If you have items you don’t want to take with you to your next duty station, Armed Services YMCA backdoor boutique will accept your donation. Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is provided to Soldiers and their Families who are new to Fort Campbell. First Term Soldiers and their Families are encouraged to set up appointments for individual counseling, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Counseling will address specific issues and guidance and suggestions will be provided to help resolve problems associated with moving to Fort Campbell. A needs assessment will be conducted first to determine the needs of the individual requesting counseling. A follow up will be conducted to ensure client’s needs have been taken care. The following will be addressed during the counseling:

  • Fort Campbell welcome packet
  • Brief on ACS programs to include Lending Closet
  • PCS  allowances and entitlements
  • Discuss housing options
  • Discuss medical, dental, child care and school/education options
  • Understand in-processing requirements
  • Information obtaining a sponsor

Sponsorship Program

Relocation can be mentally and emotionally demanding, expensive and time consuming. Settling into your new location and your new unit takes preparation time. A sponsor is someone from your new unit who is assigned to assist settling into your new location.

IAW AR 600-8-8, the Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) shall be executed to the fullest extent possible making it mandatory for Soldiers in the rank of Private (E-1) thru Colonel (0-6) and for civilians in grades GS-15 and below to participate in the Army Sponsorship Program. Sponsorship Training:  ACS Relocation Readiness Program conducts bi-annual Unit Sponsorship Coordinator (USC) train-the-trainer training. Training focuses on HQDA EXORD 018-12, "The Total Army Sponsorship Program" outlining procedures to complete the DA Form 5434, Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet, the role of the sponsor before and after newcomers arrival to include sample Welcome Letter, Sponsor Checklist and Needs Assessment Checklist, brief ACS programs and other resources that would be helpful to newcomers, conduct a multiple choice test to evaluate whether Soldiers fully understand the responsibilities of being an appointed sponsor. Requesting a Sponsor

The Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) is now accessible in Army Career Tracker (ACT) to assist Soldiers, Officers, and DA Civilians during the transition to their new installation for assignment.  Commanders now have the ability to guarantee the successful assignment of individuals through the streamlined Sponsorship process found only in ACT.  TASP ensures that incoming Soldiers are assigned Sponsors prior to reporting to their new installation.  Obtaining a Sponsor reduces stress of reporting to a new unit, enhancing resiliency and improving readiness among Soldiers and Family members.  For further assistance, contact the Installation TASP Liaison at [email protected] or contact Strength Management at +1 (270)798-5257 or +1 (270)461-4891, Hours: Monday-Friday 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m..

Smooth Move Overseas Orientation

Offered to Soldiers and Families moving overseas. Information provided at the orientation include; PCS process and procedures, finance entitlements, shipping household goods, port call, Family travel, legal assistance for claims and shipment of POV and pets.  Please call our office at +1 (270)798-6313 or +1 (270)956-2676 for more information on the mandatory overseas orientation.

German & Korean Culture Workshop

The German and Korean Culture Workshop provides important information and guidance to Soldiers and Families making a permanent change (PCS) move to Germany and Korea. The workshop focus on the following; geography, climate, government, economy, language, recreation, family life, food, customs and courtesies. The German workshop is provided on the last Friday of each month from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and the Korean Culture Workshop is on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Classes are held at the ACS Center, 1501 William C. Lee Road (Gate 1). Registration is required by calling +1 (270)798-6313 or +1 (270)956-2676.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is provided to Soldiers and their Families who are departing Fort Campbell due to a PCS move.  Hours: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Counseling will address specific issues and guidance.  Suggestions will be provided to help resolve problems associated with your PCS and relocation. A needs assessment will be conducted first to determine the needs of the individual requesting counseling. A follow up is conducted to ensure client’s needs were taken care of. Foreign Language CD & Online Language Service

The Relocation Office provides foreign language CD’s for Soldiers and Families to learn the language of the country where they will reside overseas.  Foreign language CD’s are loaned for 30 days and an extension may be granted for another 30 days.  To enquire and enroll for Free online language courses (30 language courses to choose from) services, contact the R.F. Hearts Apart (Waiting Families Program)

Waiting Families is for any Spouse and or Family Member (must be 18 years of age) which is not able to travel with their Soldier due to an unaccompanied tour or other extenuating circumstances (ex: TDY, deployment).  Monthly emails are sent to each member of the group with information on special events, ACS classes, MWR, Schools, Employment, Medical/Dental and Events happening on and off Post and follow-up phone calls to see how enrollees are doing.

In addition, it provides participants with a liaison to keep them connected with the nearest installation to where they are living.  Enrollees are also able to connect with other Families to grow their support systems which can make all of the difference.

Multicultural Services

Citizenship Classes

Citizenship Class provides information and assistance to Soldiers and Family Members who are anticipating or in the process of acquiring U.S. citizenship. It explains the process and procedures of obtaining American citizenship, basic history of America, government structure and how to use the website, www.uscis.gov.  Classes are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. To register for the class, complete a short questionnaire for eligibility. The Military Helpline helps Military and their Families with concerns pertaining to immigration and citizenship. International Spouse Support Group

The International Spouse Support Group provides information, assistance and support to all foreign-born Spouses. Monthly emails are sent to each member of the group with information on ACS calendar and MWR events and activities and information on Schools, Employment, Medical/Dental and Events happening on and off Post are distributed to the support group.
