Ramstein CASF USO Center
A unique feature of this USO center is it is embedded within a secured facility that is not open to the public. The reason for this is very clear: the 435th CASF provides medical service to service members who have been wounded at forward-deployed locations. The USO has a lounge within the CASF with a floor area of approximately 1200 square feet. The center provides the amenities and comforts of home to recuperating service members.
The center also serves as a welcome respite spot for medical staff and personnel who work at the CASF. Free Internet access and calling cards allow wounded service members and the medical staff to stay in contact with family members. We also provide clothing (under and outerwear), toiletries, shoes and other items that service members may need during their recovery and their return to their families.
The CASF USO lounge currently provides the following amenities:
One 42” and one 50” flat-screen televisions
DVD players and portable DVD players with over 450 movies on DVD
Six laptop computers with integrated webcams and headphones for internet access and communication
PlayStation video game console
Xbox 360 video game console
Wii video game components
Board games and cards
books, magazines, newspapers
Toiletries: toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, razors, shaving cream
Clothing: lounge pants (sweats), socks, underwear
Operation Enduring Care packages (for emergency situations only) which include: duffle bag, sweatshirt, sweatpants, socks, t-shirt, basic toiletries, jacket, hat, underwear
One large leather couch, large leather love seat and three large leather and suede seats
