The Middle School and Teen Program are designed to develop young minds and bodies for a healthy transition to adulthood. This program includes classes, field trips, after-school homework help, open recreation, and more. The office opens at 9:30 am. Register at Parent Central.

This program is for ages 11-18, Grades 6th to 12th. This program is at no charge.

NEW! – Sign up today!

Middle School and Teen are now offering an Enhanced Learning Opportunity program (starting August 17) for youth grades 6th- 12th. If your school district is conducting virtual learning, this is a great opportunity for children to complete learning/school work for the day as well as to attend a full day at the Middle School & Teen program. Children/youth may access MST’s Cloud Enterprise Network with their personal or school-issued devices. Middle School & Teen is open Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Ready and Resilient (R2) Program

Middle School and Teen present Ready and Resilient Program for Teens (R2 Teens).  The program focuses on Army teens facing significant challenges growing up in the Army family lifestyle, facing a permanent change of station moves, multiple parental deployments, and potential mental and physical to their parents. The R2 Teens Program will enable teens to learn through modeling, experimental learning opportunities, and the ability to learn from peers.

This program is for ages 13-18 or grades 8th - 12th at no charge.  You can register with the Middle School & Teen Program at Building 1055, 7110 McIver Street, Fort Benning (High School students can register themselves).

Morning Care

Morning Care Coverage for Faith Middle School Students for the school year 2020/21, from 5:30 – 8:30am Monday to Friday.

Attending children will be bused to school from the MST center to Faith Middle School.

Registration at Parent Central Building, Marchant Avenue, Building 104.

Torch Club

The Fort Benning Torch Club, for ages 11-13, meets twice a month to enjoy a great variety of activities at the CYS Campus on McIver Street. Participants must be registered at Parent Central. Club membership is free. For more information, call +1(706) 545-3540.

Keystone Club

The Fort Benning Keystone Club, for ages 14 and older, meets at the CYS Campus on McIver Street to enjoy a great variety of activities, including those that promote leadership development, career interests, free enterprise, social development, community service, and much more. Participants must be registered at Parent Central. Membership is free. For more information, call +1(706) 545-3540.

Youth Sponsorship

The Youth Sponsorship Program is available to youth family members of active-duty, retired, and reserve military, as well as youth dependents of DoD civilians. The Youth Sponsorship Program has active students, ranging from Middle School to High School to welcome incoming youth and assist with their transition to Fort Benning.

The Youth Sponsorship program can help your teen learn about their new community and make new friends. Getting involved quickly helps children and teens fit in and feel less stress associated with their PCS move. All it takes to join the club and visit the Middle School and Teen Center or contact your School Liaison Officer.

Participation in the Youth Sponsorship program to Fort Benning community will:

  • Promote youth awareness and involvement in the Fort Benning community
  • Get to know Fort Benning, Columbus, and the surrounding area
  • Gain information about area schools
  • Get to know CYS Middle School and Teen Center
  • Enhance youth responsibility and independence
  • Encourage new friendship

Lifeguard Training for Teens

Learn the skills you need to be an emergency responder, a lifeguard, or a trustworthy babysitter. We partner with the American Red Cross to offer CPR/First Aid/AED Training to MWR patrons 15 and older for $75. This includes an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/AED/CPR certificate valid for two years. Babysitting Classes for Teens

CYS hosts babysitting certification classes for ages 11-17. Instruction includes CPR. The cost is $30. To register, call +1(706) 545-0522.
