Housing Office- NAVSTA Guantanamo Bay

Welcome to Family Housing at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba! We are excited to assist you and your family in the transition to the Caribbean. As there is no outside community support, our department is required to house everyone. As a result, we operate with a very constrained inventory, and temporary quarters may be utilized until permanent housing is available. Upon selection for duty, members should contact the Housing Office immediately to begin the process of obtaining a house. Eligibility will be based on control date, rank, family size, and any other circumstances that may dictate a level of need. The waiting period for a permanent assignment varies depending on the time of year and the member's housing entitlement. After receipt of all required paperwork, the Housing Office will issue the Dependent Entry Approval that is needed to book travel for family members and the shipment of Household Goods.
