Naval Weapons Station Yorktown Galley was dedicated to Commander Harrold Scudder and named Scudder Hall on December 21, 1973. The primary mission of Scudder Hall Galley is to provide attractive and nutritional, five star meals to every customer and patron in a clean, sanitary and pleasant facility. Additionally, our team of food service professionals is tasked with providing provisions support for each of the tenant commands to include hot meals and box lunches when needed during the course of the year as well as in the case of unforeseen circumstances and or emergencies. Scudder Hall is the primary Messing Facility for Yorktown and Cheatham Annex bases.
In fulfilling our primary mission the food service team is comprised of 21 Culinary Specialists and 17 civilian employees from Chesapeake Service System (Source America), who serve as Food Service Attendants. Our dining facility includes a main serving line, fast food serving line and 21-item salad bar, and is outfitted with the latest equipment.
Our food service team is always looking for constructive comments to improve food quality and overall operations within Scudder Hall Galley. We actively seek your suggestions as the customers to help us in these areas.
Weekdays Breakfast, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lunch, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner, 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Weekends Breakfast, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Lunch, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dinner, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
