Relocation Readiness

Due to recent circumstances regarding COVID-19, Fort Bliss Army Community Service will not require any Lending Closet items to be returned to ACS until further notice.

Lending Closet requests will be by appointment only.  For assistance, call 915-569-5375.

Moving is a part of life for Soldiers, civilian government employees and their Families. The Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program is here to help with a comprehensive support system, whether it’s your first move or the last of many. We have all kinds of information and resources to help you and your family navigate your next military move.

Your first stop should be your local Army Community Service Family center to meet with the Relocation Readiness Program to get you started.

Services Offered
Lending Closet: The lending closet is stocked with basic household items to use before your household goods arrive or after you have packed out for your new assignment. Items may be borrowed for 30 days. Please provide your ID card and a copy of your PCS orders. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4:15 p.mFort Bliss Bus Tour: Fort Bliss is a massive installation with a lot of ground to cover from East to West Bliss. Come learn more about East and West Bliss with our monthly bus tour.

El Paso Driving Tour

This tour will take you beyond the gates of Fort Bliss and highlights the interesting sites of El Paso. We will show you where the City Zoo, Museums, Wyler Tramway and many other sites are located with stops on the east and west side of town! Learn more about our host city on the last Saturday of every other month from 10am-4pm. Space is limited. Contact ACS for details 915-569-4227

English as a Second Language / Spanish Classes:ACS offers English as a Second Language and Spanish classes on a rotating basis. Anyone interested in ESL/Spanish classes should call 915-569-4227. These classes are free and limited to a maximum of 20 students.

Smooth Moves: Relocating isnt easy! Relocating overseas is even harder. Our experienced staff is ready to assist you with your overseas move by providing you some firsthand knowledge of the overseas experience to ensure a smooth transition for you and your family!

Total Army Sponsorship Program: The Army Community Service Relocation Assistance Program offers trainings to units on how to effectively run your sponsorship program. Units can request trainings by registering below under the Classes (Online Registration) Tab.

People Encouraging People (P.E.P.): Join us for this AMAZING newcomer's orientation for adult family members. During a fun-filled three day orientation, you'll learn about the services available to you at ACS and other community agencies and get a tour of Fort Bliss and El Paso. It's a great way to learn your way around, meet others new to the installation, and become one HOTT PEPper! Register below under the Classes (Online Registration) Tab.

Hearts Apart

Is your spouse deployed or TDY for longer than 60 days? Being separated from your spouse is not easy. Join the Fort Bliss Hearts Apart Empowerment Group as a way to connect with other families and conquer deployment.  We meet monthly for fun events - some kid-friendly, some kid-free.  We provide resources to help cope with the separation and maintain your long-distance relationship.  Joining is FREE and most events are free! HomeFront Packets & Relocation Counseling

Are you PCSing to a new installation and want to learn more about your gaining installation? We can provide you with automated HomeFront Packets on any military installation worldwide! If desired, we will also be more than happy to provide you with a one on one relocation counseling!

Tourist Passport Processing

Traveling abroad? Need a passport? The Relocation Assistance Program is pleased to host quarterly passport processing dates at Army Community Service courtesy of our local passport office. Please check http://travel.state.gov/passport/ for information on fees and forms.

Bienvenidos a Bliss Relocation Fair

Every August, the Relocation Assistance Program hosts an installation wide relocation fair with representation from agencies on and off post. With over 150 agencies represented, this is a great time to quickly become familiar with the resources best suited to you and your family.
