Apache Arts and Crafts Center - Fort Hood

We are here for all your artistic ambitions, from creating a custom frame in the frame shop or a ceramic masterpiece. We have something to suit everyone's needs.

No time to do it yourself? Let our craftsmen design and produce your memento or gift for any occasion in embroidery, screen printing, custom trophies and plaques or frame shop.

Annual events include a Digital Photography Contest, All Army Arts and Crafts Contest, Spring Easter Festival and Nature In Lights Santa's Village.

Ceramic Birthday Parties

Classes

ScrapBooking

Classes are held the 4th Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 2 demonstrations on cards and pages. These sessions welcome everyone, from beginner to advanced. Bring your supplies and have a fun day of scrapping! $10

Wood Shop Safety Class

Offered every Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. and Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The safety class is mandatory to use the wood shop and equipment. Learn to make a bread box, crib, entertainment center, coffee table or create your own design. $49 - No open toed shes allowed.

Basic Framing Class

Every 1st Saturday of the month from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.

Register in advance at the Hobby Heaven Sales Store. Availability is limited to 4 patrons per class. Students must bring an item smaller than 11” x 14” to frame. No limited edition prints or artist originals will be done at this class. No open-toe shoes for safety reasons. No children under 13 allowed.

Mold Pouring Class, every day Noon $59

Learn to pour slip, take it out of the mold and clean the piece to be fired in the kiln.

This is your one-stop arts and crafts supply store. We offer ceramic slip, paints and glazes, stained glass, scrapbooking supplies, NFL craft items and various craft tools.

The Resiliency Through Art Program

The room offers a quiet area with all the art materials for Soldiers to create whatever comes to mind. Offered to all active duty Soldiers for free during the weekday until 5 p.m., just sign in at the Hobby Heaven Sales Store. Soldiers may take their work with them or leave it at the center to be displayed and provide inspiration for others.

Multi-Crafts Shop

Our unique shop offers a wide variety of custom-made, laser-engraved, hand-crafted plaques. We are able to engrave on many materials including wood, acrylic, glass and leather. All special orders must be placed at least 6 weeks in advance. Larger projects require additional time. +1 (254)287-0344

Screen Printing Shop

We can screen print any design on t-shirts or tote bags. The shop can design something for you or, you can bring your own design in. Minimum order of 50 items required. No set up or artwork fees. +1 (254)288-5410

Embroidery Department

We can scan, digitize and embroider your own design or logo for you and your company with a wide variety of shirts, hats and aprons in stock. Embroidery can be done on polos, t-shirts, hats, jackets, baby blankets, golf bags, aprons, and towels. Custom made Guidons are our specialty. Ceramic Department

Over 6,000 molds to choose from. Our shop is available for patrons to pour, clean, fire, glaze and paint in a pleasant atmosphere. Instructors are on hand to assist with your ceramic needs. Banners, magnets, stained-glass and glass etching services are also available. +1 (254)287-4070

We offer custom framing for any of your framing needs.

• Great selection of molding and mats to choose from
• Military units are given first priority. Metal plates can be made in the framing department

Wood Shop

Learn all of the safety requirements, preview the equipment in the woodshop, and learn all the things you can make from wood, at the Wood Safety and Orientation Class.  The woodshop offers industrial wood-working tools, a wide selection of hardwoods and furniture grade woods, and has an instructor on hand to assist and answer any questions.  Once the safety course is complete, work at your leisure during operational hours.
